Scientific Meaning behind Sun Worship in Hinduism

In Hinduism, Sun is called the soul of our world. We cannot imagine even a single day without it. In a society replete with customs and beliefs, is this just faith-based or was there a more scientific meaning behind the sun worship rituals ?

Sun worship commenced with the rising of the sun when the ancestors would offer water in a 'Lota' (a round copper utensil with wide edge). The pouring of water would create a flowing film, creating the seven colors of the spectrum through refraction by which the sun would be gazed at indirectly. Hindus believe this is helpful to eyes, vitalizes the body & purifies the mind.
The body is made up of the five elements: Earth( Prithvi) , water (jal), Fire (energy), air (vaayu), ether (aakash). It is believed proper balance of these five elements helps keep the body healthy, the sun being one of them. The solar rays consists of seven colors of the visible spectrum which are equally vital to the seven chakras of the body.
Rigveda states the sun is an energy source for all living beings. The Gayatri Mantra is chanted to Surya deva to remove ignorance & strengthen the mind. The sun is symbol of self god. As the self god illuminates the mind, the intellect & the body, the sun illuminates the world.
Vedas also state that water offered to the sun in the evening converts the drops of water to the stones that cause death to the demons. For humans, demons are like typhoid TB, pneumonia etc. When a devotee takes a water in his hands while standing in front of or facing the sun & drops water on the ground, the Sun's rays fall from the head to the feet of the devotee in a uniform flow. This way water heated by sun's rays & it's color permeates every part of the body.
Modern science now has validated the importance of the solar rays on the human body. Many people living in the cold climatic countries suffer from SAD (Seasonal effective disorder) during winter. some even going for solar therapies to alleviate moodiness & depression. Solar therapy mainly from an alternative source, is also used to treat palliation of disease, usually from dermatological disorders. It also improves the blood circulation, balances metabolism & restores the function of many body systems.
Exposure to the sun also promotes the development of the pineal gland hormone - melatonin, the amount of which is influenced by the aging process.
Therefore it seems there is more to sun worship than meets the eyes.

Taj Mahal: The True Story (was a Rajput Palace)

Hello Readers,
Its been too long since I have written or revealed anything to you. But I want to tell you to stay connected because countless buried truths are going to be revealed on this blog which were suppressed by the various powers of the world who distorted the true history of India completely.

Prof. P.N Oaks Theories appear to have some foundation to say that Taj Mahal was never a Tomb. No one has ever challenged it except prof. P.N Oak who believes that the whole world has been duped. In his book of Taj Mahal: The true story Oak say's the Taj Mahal is not Queen Mumtaz's tomb but an 'Ancient Hindu Temple Palace' of 'Lord Shiva'.

The palace was then known as Tejo Mahalaya. In the course of his research Oak discovered that the Shiva temple palace was usurped by Shah Jahan from then Maharaja of Jaipur, 'Jai Singh'. In his own court Chronicle, Badshahnama, Shah Jahan admits that an exceptionally beautiful grand mansion in Agra was taken from Jai Singh for Mumtaz's burial. The Ex Maharaja of Jaipur still retains in his secret collection two orders from Shah Jahan for surrendering the Taj building.

Using captured Temples and Mansions as a burial place for dead courtiers and royalty was a common practice among Muslim rulers. For Example Humayun, Akbar, Etmud-ud-Daula and Safdarjung are all buried in such mansions. Oak's inquiries began with the name of Taj Mahal.

He Says the the Term 'Mahal' has never benn used for a building in any muslim countries from Afghanistan to Algeria. "The unusual explanation that the term Taj Mahal derives from Mumtaz Mahal was illogical in atleast two respects".
1. Her name was never 'Mumtaz Mahal' but 'Mumtaz-ul-Zamani', he writes.

2. One cannot omit the first three letters 'Mum' from a woman's name to derive the remainder as the name for the building, "Taj Mahal" he claims is a 'Corrupt Version' of 'Tejo Mahalaya' or 'Lord Shiva's Palace'.

Oak also says the love story of Mumtaz and Shah Jahan is a fairy tale created by court sycophants, blundering historian, and sloppy archaeologists. Not a single royal chronicle of Shah Jahan's time corroborates the love story.

Furthermore, Oak cites several documents suggesting the Taj Mahal predates Shah Jahan's era, and was a Temple dedicated to Shiva, worshiped by Rajputs of Agra city. for example, "Prof. Marvin Miller" of New York took a few samples from the riverside doorway of the Taj.

'Carbon dating' tests revealed that the door was 300 years older than Shah Jahan. 'European traveller Johan Albert Mandelslo, who visited Agra  in 1638 (only 7 years after Mumtaz's death), describes the life of the city in his memoirs. But he makes no reference to the Taj being built.

The writings of 'Peter Mundy', an english visitor to Agra within a year of Mumtaz's death, also suggest the Taj was a noteworthy building well before Shah Jahan's time.

Prof. Oak  points out a number of design and architectural inconsistencies that support the belief of the Taj Mahal bein a typical 'Hindu Temple' rather than a mausoleum.

Many rooms in the Taj Mahal have remained Sealed since Shah Jahan's time are still in accessible to the public.Oak asserts they contain a headless statue of 'Lord Shiva' and other objects commonly used for worship rituals in Hindu Temples.

FEARING POLITICAL BACKLASH, INDIRA GANDHI'S GOVT. TRIED TO HAVE PROF. OAK'S BOOK WITHDRAWN FROM THE BOOKSTORES AND THREATENED THE INDIAN PUBLISHER OF THE FIRST EDITION DIRE CONSEQUENCES.

Below it is the royal 'Hindu Insignia'. This proves the hollowness of the claim that Shah Jahan commissioned the Red fort.

Life-size elephants at its gate and elephants with riders atop its door knobs in the Khas Mahal pavilion. Had Shah Jahan built the red for, Such Hindu motifs should not have been there.

World's Most Advanced & Ancient City Found

Hello Friends,

Yet another great or i should say greatest discovery brought me here. The world didn't believe or didn't want to believe the great ancient Technology, Tradition & Culture of India. Some powers wanted to bury the truth that India always remained the leader of the world. They always told the world that Indian civilization (Hinduism) is just 4 or 5000 years old and denied the facts provided by Hindu scholars.

But the truth cannot be hidden for too long as the discovery of the most advanced city of ‘Dwarka’ ruled by ‘Lord Krishna’ (The highly worshiped Hindu God) is discovered beneath the "Gulf of Khambhat", situated just 7 miles away from the ‘Temple of Lord Krishna in Dwarka’ in Gujrat.
The artifacts founded by researches beneath Gulf of Khambhat are more than 32000 years ago, when the civilization in other parts of the world didn't even start.

These discoveries about Ancient India are proving the power of Ancient India or I should say powers, technology, culture and tradition that Hinduism possessed in thousands of years ago.

Proud to be an Indian! Proud to be a Hindu!

Speed of light in Rig-Veda

Hello Friends,

I sometimes don't have words to thank God for sending me to his own birth place 'India'. India which was centuries ahead of today's technology, and now trying to regain its lost power is just due to the fact that the british rulers destroyed the complete education system of India in their 200 years (approx.) of Colonial rule.

The biggest damage these people caused, when they burned one of the greatest libraries, that the world had ever seen. It extended over three buildings that were up to nine stories high. The hundreds of thousands of books inside those buildings covered subjects as wide ranging as grammar, logic, literature, astrology, astronomy, and medicine. But many of the most precious texts were among the most important in Buddhism, and those religious tomes may have been what Bakhtiyar Khilji and his Muslim army were intent on destroying when they sacked the university in 1193. According to legend, there were so many books that they burned for three months. The loss of the religious texts effectively ended Buddhism as a major religion in India for hundreds of years.

Ancient Vedic science “Nimisharda” is a phrase used in Indian languages of Sanskrit origin while referring to something that happe
ns/moves instantly, similar to the ‘blink of an eye’. Nimisharda means half of a Nimesa, (Ardha is half).

In Sanskrit ‘Nimisha’ means ‘blink of an eye’ and Nimisharda implies within the blink of an eye. This phrase is commonly used to refer to instantaneous events.

Below are the mathematical calculations of a research done by S S De and P V Vartak on the speed of light calculated using the Rig Vedic hymns and commentaries on them

The fourth verse of the Rig Vedic hymn 1:50 (50th hymn in book 1 of Rig-Veda) is as follows:
तरणिर्विश्वदर्शतो जयोतिष्क्र्दसि सूर्य | विश्वमा भासिरोचनम |
taraNir vishvadarshato jyotishkrdasi surya | vishvamaa bhaasirochanam ||

which means:
“Swift and all beautiful art thou, O Surya (Surya=Sun), maker of the light, Illumining all the radiant realm.”

Commenting on this verse in his Rig Vedic commentary, Sayana who was a minister in the court of Bukka of the great Vijayanagar Empire of Karnataka in South India (in early 14th century) says:
" tatha ca smaryate yojananam. sahasre dve dve sate dve ca yojane ekena nimishardhena kramaman."
which means “It is remembered here that Sun (light) traverses 2,202 yojanas in half a nimisha”
NOTE: Nimisharda= half of a nimisha.

In the Vedas Yojana is a unit of distance and Nimisha is a unit of time.
Unit of Time: Nimesa.
The Moksha dharma parva of Shanti Parva in Mahabharata describes Nimisha as follows: 15 Nimisha = 1 Kastha.

30 Kashta = 1 Kala,
30.3 Kala = 1 Muhurta,
30 Muhurtas = 1 Diva-Ratri (Day-Night),
We know Day-Night is 24 hours So we get 24 hours = 30 x 30.3 x 30 x 15 nimisha, in other words 409050 nimisha.

We know 1 hour = 60 x 60 = 3600 seconds.
So 24 hours = 24 x 3600 seconds = 409050 nimisha.
409050 nimesa = 86,400 seconds,
1 nimesa = 0.2112 seconds (This is a recursive decimal! Wink of an eye=.2112 seconds!).
1/2 nimesa = 0.1056 seconds.

Unit of Distance:
Yojana Yojana is defined in Chapter 6 of Book 1 of the ancient vedic text “Vishnu Purana” as follows:-
10 ParamAnus = 1 Parasúkshma,
10 Parasúkshmas = 1 Trasarenu,
10 Trasarenus = 1 Mahírajas (particle of dust),
10 Mahírajas= 1 Bálágra (hair’s point),
10 Bálágra = 1 Likhsha,
10 Likhsha= 1 Yuka,
10 Yukas = 1 Yavodara (heart of barley),
10 Yavodaras = 1 Yava (barley grain of middle size),
10 Yava = 1 Angula (1.89 cm or approx 3/4 inch),
6 fingers = 1 Pada (the breadth of it),
2 Padas = 1 Vitasti (span),

2 Vitasti = 1 Hasta (cubit),
4 Hastas = a Dhanu,
1 Danda, or paurusa (a man’s height),
or 2 Nárikás = 6 feet,
2000 Dhanus = 1 Gavyuti (distance to which a cow’s call or lowing can be heard) = 12000 feet 4 Gavyutis = 1 Yojana = 9.09 miles

Calculation: So now we can calculate what is the value of the speed of light in modern units based on the value given as 2202 Yojanas in 1/2 Nimesa = 2202 x 9.09 miles per 0.1056 seconds = 20016.18 miles per 0.1056 seconds = 189547 miles per second !!

As per the modern science speed of light is 186000 miles per second ! And so I without the slightest doubt attribute the slight difference between the two values to our error in accurately translating from Vedic units to SI/CGS units. Note that we have approximated 1 Angula as exactly 3/4 inch. While the approximation is true, the Angula is not exactly 3/4 inch.

Culture & Tradition

Hi! Friends,

It’s been few months since I had last written for this great Country due to busy schedules. Today, I want to address you with the Great Culture and Traditions of our country.

India with different religions, dances, food, music and architecture stand united and a secular nation. Being a majority of Hindus in the country, there are 3, 00,000 active mosques in India more than in any country including Muslim dominated countries. Jews and Christians have lived continuously in India since 200 B.C and 52 A.D.
The oldest European church and synagogue in India are in the city of Cochin, built in 1503 and 1568 respectively.

It is interesting to know that when many cultures were only nomadic forests dwellers over 5000 years ago, Indians Established harappan culture in sindhu ('Sindhu', named by Aryan worshipers) valley (Indus Valley Civilization).

The four religions born in India are followed by 25% of world's population i.e., Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism.

Indian dancing styles are based on the Tandava like the

Urdhra Tandava

, Sandhya Tandava, etc http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TandavaIndian classical dance also found its way outside India especially to the countries of South East Asia. The dance styles of Thailand, Indonesia, and Burma are heavily borrowed from the Indian classical dance traditions.

To be continued…

India's Lost Glory

Hello Friends,

The time has come to make India regain its lost glory. We can do that by our support to some of the great rising people of India like Arvind Kejriwal, Swami Ramdev, and Anna Hazare, Who are sacrificing the luxuries of their life to save India.

The first step we all can take is to boycott foreign goods and start consuming Indian goods, produced by Swami Ramdev's Patanjli, Which are proved to be of highest quality being provided to consumers at lowest price by any manufacture in the world, stated by some great International organization.

The second step we can opt is to start supporting Aam Aadmi Party by Arvind Kejriwal and by voting the AAP party.

I hope we all understand the critical times of India and save our country by initiating the above two steps.

Nuclear Warfare in Ancient India

Hey!

This short documentary gives rise to controversies among all the archaeologists about the faith in numerous physical proofs of the two greatest epics of Ancient India i.e. Ramayana and Mahabharata. This short documentary gives you a broader view of my first post about Ancient India.

The whole world now believes those times when India was world power with more advance technologies than today and also that the Hindu gods had taken birth on the holy land of India, whenever India faces hard times. The world believes in the power of the three almighty powers i.e. Vishnu, Brahma and Shiva, who created the whole Universe.

To sum up, here's an excerpt from a beautiful poem by Ruth Peel:
"The source of all movement,
Shiva's dance,
Gives rhythm to the universe.
He dances in evil places,
In sacred,
He creates and preserves,
Destroys and releases.
We are part of this dance
This eternal rhythm,
And woe to us if, blinded
By illusions,
We detach ourselves
From the dancing cosmos,
This universal harmony…"

Hope all my readers love to explore about India. Friends, to improve my articles, I need your suggestion from time to time with the help of your important reviews and also if anyone would like to share something about India on this blog, than you can mail me at sagar92capricorn@gmail.com.
